ELEP works with pre-schools, primary schools, middle schools, and high schools throughout Ecuador to link the schools with international volunteers to teach English and assist with other subjects such as math, science, extra curricular activities and sports. You don't have to be a teacher to take part in and enjoy our Teaching placements. Open to all volunteers, you really benefit the students you work with, while gaining valuable skills yourself. All our placements have one thing in common - a genuine need for conversational English practice. Most of the children are very shy to speak English and it's in this area that the help of volunteers is needed  to give the children to confidence to speak the language. As a teaching volunteer in Ecuador, you will teach basic conversational English to the students. You will be supported by the local teachers for lesson plans and teaching curriculum. Most of the schools in Ecuador also provide a Teaching Guide to prepare for daily teachings. You can bring teaching materials that you think could be useful and helpful in the children's learning.
