After joining your group you will spend the first two weeks of your Australian adventure volunteering for one of Australia’s leading volunteer conservation organisations. The project work is varied and may involve seed collection, weed removal, flora and fauna surveys or habitat protection. Project sites are equally varied and volunteers may be working in tropical rainforests or coastline along the Great Barrier Reef. Once you have completed the project work you will depart on a 2 week adventure tour taking in Mission Beach, Cairns, Port Douglas and Cape Tribulation. During this trip you will have the opportunity to snorkel on the Great Barrier Reef, white water raft down the Tully River, enjoy a beginners scuba dive, and spot crocodiles on the Daintree River. This trip has been designed to allow you great flexibility in adding the adventure activities you feel comfortable with, additional optional activities include, scuba diving, zip-line through the rainforest, bungy jumping, sky diving and more.
