GAP Activity Projects arranges placements in the UK and Ireland (and a few other destinations depending on your nationality) for volunteers from Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, China, Japan, Europe and South Africa. Work is primarily in schools or caring institutions and can be up to 12 months in length.
