|
Starfish Ventures seeks the support of registered nurses, qualified health assistants and student nurses in their third year of study to provide nursing care at a children’s home in the Thai town of Surin. Starfish’s Nursing Venture provides the perfect framework for student nurses to complete their Elective Placement (subject to agreement from their educational institute).
The scope of nursing work at the children’s home is extensive. Volunteer student nurses will assist in all aspects of day to day care, observation and reporting on the children. In addition, a number of the children are HIV positive and require specialist help and treatment.
Volunteer registered nurses will be treating the children alongside the home’s staff and student nurses will work under the supervision of a UK qualified nurse.
