Program description: |
|
|
There is a project based in Underberg in a primary school, volunteers work closely with children and play an important part in motivating and inspiring young kids. There is another project for two volunteers in a primary school in Polokwane; they organise extra-ciricular activities, help the pupils with their English and have hostel duties in the boarding school. Near Zastron, volunteers assist with teaching English at a farm school.

Benefits and advantages of the program: |
|
|
All our volunteers attend a seelction course, a training course and on return after 12 months overseas, a debriefing course. We are a small charity and send roughly 200 volunteers to around 25 different countries every year, this means we get to know each of our volunteers individually. Over the last 36 years we have sent around 4, 000 volunteers overseas, with this experience we have built up a strong backup support network in both the UK and through out hte world.

The programme costs £3, 950 and we expect our volunteers to fund raise this during the year before they go overseas.
